Welcome!
Welcome to my writing blog!
I am Critter Unit, aka Jarek.
My pronouns are it/its/itself.
I'm okay with all kinds of transformative things being done with my fanfiction, unless it's AI related. Please don't feed my work into AI or use AI to "write" things partially made from my work.
Here are my works on AO3. You need to be logged in to see them. I love comments! And kudos! And bookmarks! Any way that works for you to let me know you read and enjoyed my work! I try to leave comments on most everything I read, and I try to respond to all comments I receive.
Here is my Murderbot Diaries fanblog on Tumblr. I recently made it visible to anyone, even if you're not logged in to Tumblr. Sometimes I post my shorter fanfics on there too. Occasionally I reply to posts, or create my own. I do a lot of reblogging and I try to tag everything relevant so I can find it again but also so others can filter more easily.
So far I only write Murderbot Diaries fanfiction, but we'll see where I go with this. I've wanted to try writing for years, decades, and I haven't done any since I was in grade school some 25+ years ago. Then I became obsessed with TMBD and joined up with a bunch of fandom communities and even started writing some fanfiction of my own! I've been having a lot of fun with it. TMBD fandom communities in particular seem very welcoming and wonderful, but as I haven't participated much in fandoms before this that may just be a feature of most fan communities?
As for me, I'm in my 40s, Canadian on Treaty 7 land, I'm polygender, I'm queer, I'm aro, I'm pansexual, I'm questioning if I'm ace-spec, I'm poly, I'm disabled, I'm neurodiverse, and I'm mentally ill. I also enjoy knitting, video games, reading, watching shows, Minecraft YouTube, TTRPGs, occasionally drawing, cats, coffee, tea, cooking, indie perfumes, and travelling to visit friends.
